Syllabus

Content

Solving structural systems using stiffness matrix methods, Introduction to the numerical solution of differential equations, finite difference schemes, finite element method, meshless methods, Introduction to the reliability of structures, Monte Carlo methods, Introduction to machine learning applications in structural mechanics, neural networks, data analysis, predictive modeling of material properties and structural behavior, software development related to structural engineering, programming of numerical methods using a programming language of choice, introduction to composite materials.

  • In-depth analysis of impactful publications in all areas of computational mechanics.
  • Written examination.
